These organic mattresses are made up of the pocket sprung unit in the centre, a tough layer of cotton to protect the springs and 1,000g per m2 of double needled wool for strength and durability. Two layers of lightly needled wool are included for warmth and comfort. A wrap-around of wool adds a final layer of luxury to the mattress before the final layer, a 100% cotton cover. These mattresses pass UK fire safety regulations (BS7177) without any chemical fireproofing. 10 year guarantee. Available in standard or firm.

Our organic mattresses are handmade and certified by the Soil Association (with the exception of the latex), with every process inspected and verified. The ultimate choice for anyone who wants to sleep on completely organic natural materials. The materials used are created by traditional farming methods avoiding the use of highly toxic fertilisers, pesticides, herbicides and fungicides. These production methods offer great benefits to the farmers and the environment, and enable you to choose products which will be safer for you and your family.

Your new mattress must be unwrapped and put onto a sound and supportive even base. Slats should be placed no more than 4cm apart. Always remember to turn your mattress regularly and never bend it. Do not store in a plastic bag.

Simple test for outgassing
1. Seal a sample of the material to be tested in a glass jar.
2. Keep it in a warm place for 24 - 48 hrs then inhale deeply from the jar.
3. Notice a) the strength of the odour b) any symptoms that result
